2011 Scholarship Winner
- Calsey Schwamman, of Fort
Atkinson,(pictured left) has been
awarded the Joseph J. and
Martha M. Pecinovsky
Scholarship. She received this
$500 award during the Fifth
Annual Masopust celebration,
sponsored by the Czech
Heritage Partnership and held at
the Protivin Community Center
on March 5, 2011.
Calsey is the second recipient of
this scholarship, which is
awarded to an outstanding
senior high school student of
Czech descent.
Calsey is the daughter of Jay
and Mary (Kappes) Schwamman
(pictured to the right) and
attends Turkey Valley High
School. Last year’s recipient
was Jacob Luzum also from Fort
Atkinson.
