    According to current
    Commander David Byrnes of
Lawler "it took a village to build
    the Lawler Area Veterans
    Monument".  They have the
space and do an excellent job of
    maintaining this beautiful salute
to the veterans of the area.
    Commander Byrnes especially
wanted to point out this bench in
    memory of William and Elizabeth
Cutsforth who had 8 sons who
    served in the military
Jack McKone of Lawler

Jack had two tours in Korea
in the Navy during the
Korean War

McKone who has recently
had some health concerns
with cancer is doing good
and has 1 more treatment
remaining and said he likes
his new "hair" style and may
keep it.
    McKone and Byrne
want to make sure it is
    known that as inscribed
    here: "This Memorial
    is not to Honor War,
    But to show the Price
    of Peace Lest Future
    Generations forget
    the Sacrifice made to
    maintain our Freedom"
